This particular model has the Grand Auditorium body shape, and it is made from high quality tonewoods – the soundboard features solid Western Red Cedar, and the back and sides are made from solid Cocobolo with a nice sapwood. Cocobolo is a tropical wood, very dense and hard, which adds a brilliant tone and response to the instrument. This wood has a higher resonance in low or bass frequencies, and a quick and dynamic answer with a clear tone.
The high quality of the woods are combined with a host of appointments such as a ring rosette and inlay work in Abalone on the fretboard and the entire body in just the right proportions. The headstock in inlayed in Mother of Pearl with Intune’s Dove logo. The body has flamed curly Maple for the body bindings along with Abalone that seamlessly blends in with inbuilt armrest.
The neck is a 5 piece neck with no scarf and heel joint; this provides better strength that will handle and withstand fluctuations in humidity and temperature much better than a guitar neck with one wood only. With no scarf and heel joint would mean better transfer of vibrations.
In addition to the guitar’s attractive looks you have superb acoustic qualities. It produces clear, open tones that are finely balanced across the entire tonal spectrum. This guitar is designed to cater to various styles of playing whether it be just flat picking, fingerpicking or just strumming.
Another subtle feature adding to the tone and overtone is the use of unslotted bridge pins, this enable the strings ball ends to rest firmly under the bridge plate providing maximum transfer of vibration that can be lost with slotted bridge pins due to gaps in the contact point..
As with most top-quality instruments the guitar doesn’t come with preinstalled pick-ups. If needed we can install the LR Baggs Anthem TRU-MIC Technology or others pickups with the controls mounted on the inside of the guitar sound hole. There will an additional charge for this installation. The mix control allows blending the sound from the microphone and the pickup. The LR Braggs TRU-Mic tone shaping features include mix controls, phase inversion, volume, battery check, mic level control.
