A lightweight flamenco with a nice low action to aid playability, quick response, perfect balance between beautiful dark basses and ringing trebles, and a very tasteful rosette and purfling inlays.
The guitar has a European Spruce combined well with a beautifully solid Cypress for the back and sides. The fingerboard is a mostly dark grained African Ebony that’s now very seldomly found on affordably priced guitars. The bridge is made from Indian Rosewood and French Polished. Also noticeable is a nice even patina on the Spruce top.
The geometric rosette matches the purfling lines on the soundboard and adds to the aesthetics of the guitar.
The guitar also offers a 12-hole tie block providing a good break angle for the stings from the saddle to bridge.
Engelmann Spruce has a mature tone, with a bit more slightly richer midrange than Sitka, which makes a guitar sound a bit older. Old growth Engelmann trees with tight grained quarter sawn is getting harder to find these days.
Cypress is a beautiful tonewood with a rich complete tonal profile. A light, soft wood that’s also very resistant, Cypress has a brilliant and percussive sound, making it one of the most treasured tonewoods for flamenco guitars.
